Salish Twilight Girl
Salish Twilight Girl
This gal is over 5 feet tall. There are a few that grow as tall as 6 feet (those we didn’t pinch as a trial). She blooms early, prolifically and tolerates the heat very well. She’s one of the very few that actually thrives in the crazy weather pattern (high heat and humidity) of 2022. Release by Noni Morrison, the originator for the Salish line. She has beautiful lavender petals with a rich purple reverse, which makes the bloom even more striking. Please note that in earlier stage (immature form), the petals are flat with a silvery lavender tone and a deep purple reverse, which is harder to see (if the petals are more flat). Once the bloom matures, you’ll see the petals curl up showing more of the deep burgundy/purple undertone/reverse and some silvery lavender tone. We have not seen a sport in our gardens but do know that sports may exist in any cultivar you purchase.
